Airpoints Advance

We'd hate for you to miss out on using your Airpoints Dollars just because you're a little short on what you need to claim for a reward so that's why we have "Airpoints Advance".

Airpoints Advance allows you, for as long as you're an Airpoints™ member whose Airpoints number is linked to a qualifying Airpoints Dollars direct earn credit card, to get an advance of Airpoints Dollars. The advance is an amount available on top of what you have earned, which allows you to make a redemption, even if you're short on what you need. You'll pay no fees to use it, and no interest on the advanced Airpoints Dollars.

To book a flight using your Airpoints Advance, just login to myairnz (your personal homepage) and make your booking as usual.

When you next earn Airpoints Dollars, if you have used your Airpoints Advance, your Airpoints Advance will be paid back first.

If you hold more than one Airpoints Dollars direct earn credit card, the Airpoints Advance limits for each card are not cumulative and you're only entitled to Airpoints Advance for the card which has the higher Airpoints Advance limit.

Air New Zealand Airpoints Programme terms and conditions apply. Only available to New Zealand registered Airpoints Programme members. The cardholder cannot use Airpoints Advance (or any unused portion of it), and has 12 months to repay the Advance, once s/he ceases to be the nominated earner (as defined below) or Air New Zealand withdraws Airpoints Advance. Failure to repay the Airpoints Advance will result in Air New Zealand closing the cardholder's Airpoints membership account and Air New Zealand reserves the right to recover the monetary value of any outstanding Airpoints Advance and any legal fees (on a solicitor/client basis) and/or other costs which Air New Zealand may incur in recovering amounts the cardholder owes in relation to Airpoints Advance.

GlobalPlus

Airpoints Advance is only available to those Airpoints Members who:

1. for GlobalPlus credit card accounts opened after 30 March 2008, is the cardholder who was the first person to link their Airpoints membership account to the GlobalPlus account ("nominated earner"); or
2. for GlobalPlus credit card accounts opened prior to 30 March 2008, was the nominated earner as at 30 March 2008

and in each case, is the nominated earner at the time of requesting the benefit.
