We’re pleased to announce that from 1 November 2011, Avis and Budget will become the Airpoints programme's exclusive car rental partners, which means that Thrifty and Hertz will have to leave the Airpoints programme.

There’s no change to the way you book either; www.airnewzealand.co.nz/cars (for New Zealand bookings) or www.airnewzealand.com.au/cars (for Australia bookings) is still a great place to reserve a ride.
Airpoints members will still be able to earn Airpoints Dollars™ on all Hertz and Thrifty bookings made before 1 November 2011 for rentals to be taken before 1 May 2012.
