How does it work?

Can I earn Fly Buys on Air New Zealand Travel?
Yes, wherever Fly Buys are available, you can use your Airpoints Member details. Fly Buys can be earned at Air New Zealand Holiday Stores. The Fly Buys Points Collection Rate is $50 = 1 Fly Buys Point. From time to time Air New Zealand may also offer Fly Buys online (airnewzealand.co.nz), on selected flights, and booking periods. Just like when you use your Airpoints card at a Fly Buys store, the Fly Buys will automatically be changed to Airpoints Dollars when you choose to use your Airpoints Card.

You're still an Air New Zealand Airpoints™ member.
This new relationship simply means you can earn extra Airpoints Dollars through Fly Buys Partners.
How will I earn Airpoints Dollars through Fly Buys Partners?
In November, you'll get a new Airpoints card that lets you earn Airpoints Dollars through Fly Buys. Just swipe your new Airpoints card with Fly Buys Partners to earn Airpoints Dollars. You'll be able to use it with any Fly Buys Partner and see your Airpoints Dollars add up.
Do I still require my Fly Buys Membership Card?
That's up to you. If you choose to use your Airpoints card at Fly Buys retailers, the Fly Buys points will automatically be changed to Airpoints Dollars. If you choose to use your Fly Buys card at Fly Buys retailers, you will earn Fly Buys points.
Where will I be able to use my new card?
You can use it at over 3,000 Fly Buys outlets around New Zealand.
Can I earn Airpoints Dollars with my credit card and my new Airpoints card?
Yes. If you have an Airpoints credit card, you'll earn Airpoints Dollars as usual. These are on top of the Airpoints Dollars you could earn using your new Airpoints card at a Fly Buys Partner. So it's well worth shopping with both!
How will I know if I've earned Airpoints Dollars on purchases from a Fly Buys Partner?
You'll see them in you Airpoints account. It's easy to check your current Airpoints balance and activity at myairnz.co.nz.
Can I earn both Airpoints Dollars and Fly Buys Points on the same transaction?
Sorry, no. You can choose to use your new Airpoints card and automatically earn Airpoints Dollars from any Fly Buys Partner or choose to use your Fly Buys card to keep collecting Fly Buys Points.
Can I transfer my current Fly Buys points to Airpoints Dollars?
If you have a GlobalPlus card you can transfer Fly Buys points to Airpoints Dollars. You'll need a minimum of 300 Fly Buys points for the conversion, and thereafter in increments of 150, in the same transaction. You can convert your Fly Buys points online or 0800 FLY BUYS (0800 359 2897), Mon - Fri, 8am - 6pm (excluding public holidays) to make the conversion - you must be the GlobalPlus cardholder and have your card ready when you call.
Can I convert my Airpoints Dollars back into Fly Buys Points?
No, Airpoints Dollars cannot be converted to Fly Buys Points. Your Airpoints Dollars can be used to purchase air travel including companion fares, hotel and car rentals with Airpoints Partners.
