Claims can be lodged 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from overseas or when you return home. If you have a claim against your travel insurance policy, please download and print a Claim Form.

You can help QBE speed up the processing of your claim by following the instructions on the Claim Form, which will advise you of what documentation you need to provide to support your claim.

If you intend to lodge a claim, reports from doctors, police, airlines and receipts for purchases and expenses that you will claim for, will be required in order to claim.
Ensure you keep all receipts and obtain copies of any reports.
Free look period - requesting a refund
If, having purchased the policy, you want to return it, you can do so within 14 days of receiving the Certificate of Insurance and obtain a full refund, provided no right or power has been exercised under it by you (eg no claim has been made) and your trip has not commenced.
If you purchased travel insurance with your flights (Domestic or International):
To request a refund call the Air New Zealand Contact Centre on 0800 737 000, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and quote your booking reference.
If you purchased Single Trip, Annual Multi-trip, Koru Cover, Vacation or Visit New Zealand travel insurance:
QBE will arrange for a refund of the premium.
