Our new alliance with United Airlines now allows us to offer more exciting flight options into major American cities than ever before.
United Airlines is renowned as one of the biggest airlines in the world and is the founding member of the Star Alliance. Now entering its 90th year of operations, United reaches more destinations than any other airline and is one of a select few with routes that span all six inhabited continents.
Air New Zealand is excited to be in a revenue sharing alliance with United as of 1 July 2016. This partnership will provide our passengers with much improved access to a wide variety of domestic American locations through United’s extensive network.
The launch of United’s Auckland to San Francisco service enables increased air capacity and frequency on this route, as well as new time of day options for travellers.
United Airlines operates three times weekly Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner flights between San Francisco and Auckland from July, moving to daily flights operated by larger 787-9 aircraft in November 2016.
Air New Zealand now offers a daily flight service between Auckland and San Francisco, twice daily between Auckland and Los Angeles, and five flights per week between Auckland and Houston increasing to daily flights during the December - January peak period.
