great sunny experience

Everything was good. The skipper has a lot of entertaining story to relate during the trip and the landscape is wonderful. Even if the track changed, we have enough time to reach easily Furneaux Lodge.

Beautiful

What an awesome experience. I’ve lived in Blenheim for 20 years and it’s my first time out walking this part of the sounds. We live in a stunning part of this world and should never take it for granted. From the boat ride out, which we got to learn some history on the way to sitting at Furneux lodge having a cider after a big walk with the sun on our face....10/10 in my eyes. Beautiful relaxing boat ride home. The guy that took us both ways was very nice and approachable as well.

Very enjoyable hike through forest and coast

From start to finish we enjoyed this experience. The boat stopped a few times for dolphins, which was a bonus. The walk was really good, through forest and along coast. Well marked. Could be slippery if wet, but we had a dry day. Plenty of places for a stop for scenery and a picnic, and a paddle in the water.

Nice trip

The trip on the boat is about 1h15. Once you arrive to ship cove, there's not much to see so we starter the track. On arrival at Furneaux lodge, there is a restaurant if you want to have a drink or something to eat. You can relax until the boat picks you up. Onboard, you'll have complimentary tea or coffee. The way back is a bit long but it's worth it. I think it's the most beautiful part of the queen charlotte track.
