Cristina Greculescu said... We did not do much research about the Edwin Fox prior to the museum visit and we were blown away by the ship and its history. The museum room contains many items recovered from the ship and you can watch a documentary about its last voyage (to the current dry dock in Picton). The ship itself is fascinating, walking on the original teak wood is really moving, considering that soldiers, convicts, immigrants and many others have stepped there before you. You can lie down in the bunks and enter a former convict cell and just imagine how the 12-14 week trip across the oceans must have been in the mid to late 1800s. Overall a great experience (also for kids), don't miss it if you're in Picton!
