Day One

We start our adventure travelling through the Clare Valley wine region to the Flinders Ranges where we'll take a stroll through the Alligator Gorge and explore the stunning surrounds. That night we settle in the heart of the Southern Flinders Ranges.

Day Two

Visit the Opal Capital of the World with landscape that resembles the moon - look out for kangaroos, emus and eagles! At Josephine’s Kangaroo Orphanage, you can meet the rescued kangaroos and baby joeys and admire Aboriginal art and didgeridoos. Tonight, we sleep like the locals do - underground, in bunkhouse accommodation.

Day Three

Enjoy a relaxing journey to the mighty Watarrka National Park (Kings Canyon), uncovering breathtaking sights along the way. We’ll set up camp for the night under the stars in an authentic station.

Day Four

It's an early start to explore the sandstone walls, canyon floor and gorges at Kings Canyon. After lunch, we journey to Uluru (Ayers Rock) - the largest rock in the world! We’ll set up camp before learning about the local Aboriginal History at the Uluru Kata-Tjuta Aboriginal Cultural Centre and experience an awe-inspiring Uluru sunset.

Day Five

At dawn we embark on an unforgettable hike to the majestic Valley of the Winds in Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). You’ll be able to see the ancient rock formations and extraordinary views before we relax back at our campground.

Day Six

After devouring a scrumptious breakfast you'll see a glorious sunrise over Kata Tjuta, before hiking through the acacia woodlands and grassy clay pans. You’ll be able to spot native wildlife and experience the Uluru’s geological wonders. After lunch, we’ll hit the road to Alice Springs, arriving approximately at 6:30pm.

Groovy tour!

I'd definitely recommend this tour! It is well organized, you don't have to worry about anything. Everyone help to prepare the meals, wash the dishes and keep the fire place on! Shane, the guide, is absolutely lovely. He knows a lot and loves to share stories, he is also a very good driver. Note: in June, it was very cold at night.
