Great day in the Barossa

We had a great day in the Barossa. Wineries were not the best in the Barossa but ok for the uninitiated. Could have had more food at lunch as a few people were still hungry. Jerry was an awesome driver and host. Highly recommend.

Must do when in Adelaide

My tour with Groovy Grape was cancelled due to it not meeting the required minimum numbers so they put me on another with Taste the Barossa which was fantastic. When the girl from Groovy Grape tried to call me she did leave an awkward voicemail not realising it had connected saying 'thank God she's not answering' - Not the best customer service!

Ok

Compared to another tour 3 years ago very poor experience. We had just a bored driver. No extra infos on our way through the beautiful countryside. Wineries were fine, especially the family owned ones. But as this is the backpacker tour (and I guess a lot of people just want to drink) in some of the wineries you don‘t get the good stuff and often not much information about the wine itself- just your glass filled. Not enough food for lunch for most people in our group even though pizzas were good. It could be so much more fun with someone enthusiastic about the region and his job.
