Borodin Prince Igor: Overture and Polovtsian Dances
Borodin’s dazzling opera Prince Igor is probably best known for its Overture and the Polovtsian Dances, which paint a splendidly exotic picture of nomad warriors sweeping across the Russian steppes. Alas, Borodin died before completing the piece and it was left to his friends Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and Alexander Glazunov to put the puzzle together.
Join our presenter and the APO for a one-hour concert with commentary that will take your musical appreciation to the next level. These early evening events are great for all ages, whether you are a seasoned concertgoer or new to orchestral music.
