Take an epic camping road trip from South Australia to Northern Territory as we traverse the great Australian outback, rich in Indigenous culture and brimming with great diversity of wilderness and untamed landscapes.

An authentic Australian adventure done in true Aussie camping style!


Day 1: Adelaide to Flinders Ranges

Accommodation: Swag camping at Skytrek Willow Springs Station

Meals Included: Lunch / Dinner

  • Head to the Southern Flinders Ranges for a morning hike at Alligator Gorge
  • Take a short stroll around Quorn and then head to Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park and take a hike at Arkaroo Rock, a significant cultural site for the local Adnyamathanha people
  • Experience a Welcome to Country in the Adnyamathanha people’s language at Wilpena Pound Resort
  • Arrive at Skytrek Willow Springs Station - a 70,000-acre working sheep station with secluded bush camping (our camp base)


Day 2: Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park

Accommodation: Swag camping at Skytrek Willow Springs Station

Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

  • Discover Flinders Ranges on a morning hike through tall river red gums and past waterholes, enjoying breathtaking views over the surrounding wilderness
  • Learn about conservation efforts within Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park from a local Park Ranger. We can also give back by participating in some meaningful conservation work.
  • Take a beautiful scenic drive at Brachina Gorge


Day 3: Flinders Ranges to William Creek via the Oodnadatta Track

Accommodation: Swag camping at William Creek

Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch

  • We travel along a section of one of Australia’s most iconic unsealed roads, the Oodnadatta Track
  • See highlights like Lake Eyre (Australia’s largest salt lake), the Mutonia Sculpture Park and Anna Creek Station, the world’s largest working cattle station
  • Visit the tiny outback settlement of William Creek in the Southern Australian Outback


Day 4: William Creek to Coober Pedy

Accommodation:Umoona Opal Mine – underground bunk, multi-share

Meals Included: Breakfast

  • Journey to the famous underground town of Coober Pedy - the opal capital of Australia
  • Visit Josephine’s Gallery & Kangaroo Orphanage and the town’s main attraction, Umoona Opal Mine & Museum
  • Visit the Aboriginal Heritage site, The Kanku-Breakaways Conservation Park, for mesmerising scenery of the Moon Plains
  • Stay in a unique underground bunkhouse tonight


Day 5: Coober Pedy to Watarrka/Kings Canyon

Accommodation: Swag camping at Kings Creek Station

Meals Included: Breakfast

  • Travel past the Dingo Fence and Kanku-Breakaways Conservation Park onwards to Watarrka National Park
  • Learn about the world’s oldest living culture on the Karrke Aboriginal Cultural Experience
  • Relax at the Kings Creek Station and enjoy a stunning desert sunset from the viewing platform before dinner


Day 6: Watarrka/Kings Canyon to Uluru

Accommodation:Swag camping at Ayers Rock Resort Campground

Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

  • Hike the Kings Canyon Rim Walk - sure to be one of the most magical experiences of your life
  • Take in the 360-degree views and journey through Priscilla’s Crack
  • See the sandstone domes known as the Lost City and the lush greenery and watering hole of the aptly named Garden of Eden.
  • Visit Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park then watch an unforgettable sunset over Uluru


Day 7: Uluru

Accommodation: Swag camping at Ayers Rock Resort Campground

Meals Included: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner

  • Enjoy a sunrise over Uluru then take a guided 10 km Uluru base walk
  • Relax beside tranquil waterholes, see a magnificent Sheoak tree and discover hidden caves
  • Visit the Cultural Centre to deepen your understanding of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park
  • Free time and activities at the camp such as a didgeridoo performance, a guided garden walk or discovering artefacts at the museum


Day 8: Kata Tjuta to Yulara

Meals Included: Breakfast

  • Enjoy a spellbinding Kata Tjuta sunrise
  • Hike the Valley of the Winds guided walk to learn about the local Anangu culture and appreciate the beauty of their land
  • Soak up unparalleled views of the otherworldly landscape surrounding Kata Tjuta
