Welcome to Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa.
Relaxing rock pools, soothing sulphur pools, cascading pools, and an array of water jets and bubbles - at a range of temperatures.
For the kids (and kids at heart!) we have four hydroslides, including New Zealand’s longest waterslide, Conical Thrill, activity pools and a lazy river.
We're excited to introduce the debut of Violet Vortex and Waiau Winder. These innovative slides have taken the place of our cherished older beige and green slides. Our latest slides feature cutting-edge LED lighting and projection technology, enhancing the thrill factor and crafting a unique adventure!
Entry price includes all outdoor pools and slides.

Hammer Springs Thermal Pools
This is a place where you can feel peace and relaxation every time you come. It's so good because the water quality is good and there's no smell of bleach from the spa in a regular swimming pool. It's great to see snow-covered mountains along with various types of spa pools.

Never disappoints!
Consistency is key here, always clean, staff are always helpful, always plenty of lifeguards, always improvements every time we go. regardless of the weather Hanmer springs thermal pools are always a great time! Love these guys!

Hammer Springs Mid Winter
Don’t let the cold weather put you off!! ⛄️ 🥶 Fantastic day out even at 3degrees! Warm up in the hot springs after fun on the slides- no queues in the wintertime just wear an extra layer and flip flops for your cold feet! Great facilities, clean, warm, nice staff and a shuttle service to and from CHCH (paid)
