So much fun

The wildlife reserve was quite well maintained and the animals looked like they were well cared for. It was a lot of fun and there were a lot of free roaming birds. The highlight was of course getting to see the kiwi birds! It’s also not far from Christchurch city, and we spent about 2 hours at the park and it wasn’t crowded at all on a weekday afternoon.

Immersive and engaging

I thought it was going to be boring compared to Orana park but boy was I wrong, it was still extremely good and I would highly recommend this experience, prepare for lots of big birds to be around you though!

Nice place

It is accessible by bus from the city center. The park is very large and we were able to see everything in about 2 hours. It was great to see New Zealand's endemic species and kiwis!

Typical New Zealand animals

What a pleasure to see typical New Zealand animals. They're all in wide open spaces. You can get closer to them to a greater or lesser extent, depending on the species. And for the most attentive, you can see and hear Kiwis.
