That's a piece of good advice when you book a heli hike take the whole day for this because it is a weather-dependent experience and you have to be flexible. The team was super friendly and excited. We were guided by Chris, he has been there for 9 years, working around all the glaciers in New Zealand, he got so much knowledge about the area and history. He made our day, he's friendly, funny, and patient. He makes you feel comfortable to walk around, showing the good spots and making you aware of the dangers of the place. On the way back to the airport, the pilot (unfriendly I didn't get his name) gave us such a gift, a quick scenic flight around Mount Cook, it was breathtaking. It definitely, worth it, I would do it again and again!
