  • Explore the SS Maheno Shipwreck.

Unser Guide, Rory, hat uns wunderbar kurzweilig, mit vielen Informationen zu unseren Zielen versorgt!, was den Genuss erhöhte! Die besuchten Spots waren fantastisch, die Lunch-Burger echt lecker und immer auch ausreichend Zeit zum Genussvollen erleben der einzelnen Spots.

Tourprogramm korrekt, Fahrzeug ein Reinfall

Die Tour über Fraser Island war vom Tourablauf gut und alle Punkte wurden angefahren. Leider muss ich allerdings sagen, dass fas Fahrzeug absolut nicht korrekt inseriert war. Es handelte sich um zwei alte Fahrzeuge. Einen 4x4 Bus und ein Jeep mit gegenüberliegenden Sitzen. Beide sehr in die Jahre gekommen...

A perfect day!

Ein perfekter Tag mit Discovery K‘Gari! Natürlich würde man am liebsten immer viel länger an jedem der einzelnen Orte bleiben, die man besucht, aber wenn man einem Tag so viel wie möglich sehen möchte, ist das leider einfach nicht möglich. Jeff war nicht nur ein super Fahrer und absolut kompetenter Guide mit viel Wissen über die Insel, ihre Flora und Fauna, sondern auch noch ein total sympathischer Typ mit gutem Musikgeschmack ;)- großartige Playlist! Obwohl der Bus einen kleinen Defekt im Getriebe hatte, schafften wir es problemlos, alle Ziele anzusteuern: über den 75 Mile Beach nach Eurong und weiter zu Lake Mc Kenzie, zur Central Station mit Trail durch den Regenwald, zum Wrack der SS Maheno und Eli Creek- von einem atemberaubend schönen Spot zum nächsten! Das Essen und die Snacks waren lecker und es blieb zwischendurch immer Zeit für Fakten und Anekdoten über die Insel und auch für einen Stopp, bei dem man testen konnte, wie es sich anfühlt in Treibsand einzusinken. Neben dem Baden im kristallklaren Wasser des Sees und sich treiben lassen im Fluss, waren natürlich auch die Tiere ein weiteres Highlight! Vor dem Ablegen der Fähre konnten wir bereits Delphine beobachten und am Strand der Insel angekommen Dingos und mehrere Seeadler. Danke für diesen unvergesslichen Tag!
