There’s no need to stare wistfully at the ocean wishing you could hit the waves with this 2-hour introductory surf lesson! With helpful tips and techniques, you’ll be able to master the surfing basics during this superbly delivered lesson. What better place to learn how to surf than the iconic Gold Coast, this is a must do experience and something you will be able to brag about for years to come. With perfect waves for beginners, you’ll be able to experience the thrill of surfing, have a good laugh and make some new friends. Lessons include free photos, a 20-minute yoga warm up, ocean safety and awareness lesson and all equipment. With your friendly and experienced instructor on hand to provide encouragement, you will soon have the confidence to ride the waves on your board and experience that addictive buzz of surfing first hand.
After your exciting surfing lesson, you’ll be ready for SUP-ing in the afternoon. Cudgen Creek is the perfect place to paddle board, with over 9 km of flat water and peaceful surrounds and the majority being National Park, you can easily escape into a wilderness bliss. You’ll start with a basic lesson and safety briefing from your friendly instructor, then onto the water to test your balance and ability! Even if you haven’t experience stand up paddle boarding before you will be amazed how easy this is to learn and your instructor will have you cruising like a pro before you know it.
This tour has a flexible itinerary, you might choose an upstream paddle where you will see the beginning of subtropical rainforest along with ospreys, sea eagles and other amazing flora and fauna. Alternatively, you can head downstream towards the mouth of Cudgen Creek and enjoy mini beaches, great swimming spots and the company of pelicans and the occasional dolphins. .
You’ll benefit from your guides local knowledge, they will be able to share their special spots, little tricks and they just love an opportunity to get on the water with you and pass on their passion for SUP!
