Wanaka is a popular departure point for Milford Sound Flights offering similar prices for a longer flight and better views than the flights departing from other locations. Departing from Wanaka enables passengers close up views of the spectacular Mt Aspiring and many glaciers which are not able to be seen if departing from neighbouring Queenstown.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review the Milford Sound Glacier Flight and Cruise that we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to share with you. Your timing was perfect, it was an absolutely stunning day to fly from Wanaka to Milford Sound - it doesn't come any better than that. Definitely 3rd time lucky! Even the pilots, who have been there many times were raving about it being awesome. Best experience ever!
‚Once in a lifetime‘-experience! Unbelievable trip, perfect service, best flight with breathtaking views. We always felt safe and well taken care of. Beautiful cruise, 2 hours were just perfect. It was worth every cent, we will never forget!

Unforgettable experience
Glad that the weather played to our favor after 2 days cancellation. Doug hit was smooth and awesome views and explanation from the pilot. Cruise was just as good and we had reserved seats for us though it will be good for the pilot to let us know cos we chanced upon it ourselves. Strongly recommend the fly-cruise-fly experience.

Coolest experience ever
It is definitely worth experiencing in life! We got to see the marvelous views from the sky high view. The flight was great and safe, only the return flight was bumping and made us a bit sickness. Thanks to our pilot Scott's introduction during the flight and the cruise ship is such an enjoyable experience! Except I lost my wallet during the flight, that's very unfortunate and sad especially it happened during a trip.
