Noosa Everglades Self Guided Kayak Tour - 2 Days - Boreen Point


This amazing adventure gives you a chance to explore secluded locations by kayak and experience the natural beauty and wildlife of the Noosa Everglades. From meeting at the Kanu Kapers base, we take you to Elanda Point to launch your kayak. Once comfortable in your kayak, we provide paddle tuition, navigational information and point out the key 'must see' features for your day adventure ahead in the Everglades


8.30 am until 3 - 3.30pm


  • Kayaking and Safety Equipment, 30 Lt ice box, dry bag for clothes, camping gear as required, Map and Land mark Orientation, Professional Tuition and an unforgettable experience!

Sleeping bags $10 to hire if required


Mill Point, Kinaba Information Centre, Noosa Everglades, Kin Kin Creek, Harry's Hut, swim in the tea coloured waters of Lake Cootharaba and explore at your own pace


Meet at the Kanu Kapers office at 11 Toolara Street, Boreen Point. After driving out to the National Park kayak launch site and we settle you into your kayak, showing you the map and teaching you all the basic skills for an enjoyable paddle across Lake Cootharaba to Kinaba.

Day one: Pack, paddle, set up camp and chill out, explore and enjoy the serenity

Day two: Take in the beauty with a deep breath in the early morning, refresh with a swim in the river and be mystified at every bend as you return to Elanda Point

What to Bring and Wear:

  • All your food for 2 days
  • Water bottle and Water (2 litres/person/day) - 2 x 5lt water bladders available from supermarket are the most suitable.
  • Wear shoes that can get wet
  • Sun smart clothing (Rashie & board shorts)
  • Sunscreen, hat and sunglasses
  • Insect Repellent
  • Clothes - Shorts, T shirts, long pants, warm jumper, thermal underwear, beanie
  • Shoes & socks for walking
  • Small daypack for the walk
  • Wind proof jacket/rain coat
  • Sleeping Bag, sheets & small pillow
  • Torch & lots of spare batteries
  • Change of clothes and shoes to return home & towel
  • Camera & plastic bag to put it in
  • A sense of adventure & fun
