We loved this trip out to Cape Brett and to beautiful Urupukapuka Island for an all inclusive lunch stop. It was perfect weather. Very informative commentary from a friendly boat crew. Great dolphin encounter! Urupukapuka is simply stunning. We got off the boat at historic Russell on the return trip to Paihia and used the complimentary ferry tickets to cross over to Paihia later in the day. This really was a highlight of our few days in this beautiful region.

Chose this cruise based on reviews and comments on the benefits of going on a smaller boat which allows for a more intimate experience in this out of this world landscape. It was wet, but then this is one of the wettest places in NZ. The cloud, mist and rain create a beautiful brooding moody scene. We went right out to the Tasman Sea. The commentary was excellent and really insightful. Absolutely loved the experience and will treasure it as one of my most memorable days.
