Spectacular

This trip was the best even though I got an injury at Cape Reinga. The driver of the bus Bob kept us entertained for the whole trip. From pick up early morn until drop off. This was a trip of a lifetime for me to see the rest of N.Z. I would recommend this trip to EVERYONE. The drive alone was worth it. From sand dunning to Cape Reinga and the meeting of the oceans, about Kauri gum to local histories, we heard it all. Thanks Bob for a fantastic trip of a lifetime.

Dune Rider tour by Explore Group

A full day, well organised tour. Buzz, our tour guide/driver is very knowledgeable and shared so much insights and stories during his commentary it was easy to listen to him. We got picked up from our motel in Paihia at 7:15am and dropped off just after 5pm. I suggest bringing snacks especially if travelling with kids. First stop was at Kauri Unearthed to hop on a bus-like truck that could safely drive along 90-mile beach equipped with a toilet. The lunch provided was good - roast beef and chicken with gravy, chips and salads plus coffee/tea. We didn't feel rushed at every stop. It was a long time sitting in a bus but we knew that so we were prepared. Well worth the trip!!
