Departing from the Whangarei yacht club, glide over the crystal clear waters in a short paddle to the island.

The island started out as a strategic Pa (Maori defensive settlement). It was then home to leading Northland industry in the 1850's and today is a conservation treasure trove.

    LOVELY TRIP

    It is special kayaking trip i ve had so far. Small group, which is fantastic, coz we do not need to rush. We took out time to enjoy da scene. Lovely guide, a very nice and humerous man. I personally suggest u to experience da trip.
