Lovely experience in the Hokianga

Lovely spot to stop off at and experience the stories and manaakitanga of the Hokianga. We had a lovely guide who told us about her ancestor the great navigator Kupe and the atua. The 4d theatre story telling was awesome. Great to see the solar panels on the roof. Nice shop too.

Dissatisfied

We booked and went to the treat grounds thinking it was the same thing. We were informed it was an hour drive between we then asked for a refund and someone was going to get back to us. Still waiting for them to call us to discuss the refund process.I guess we are the stupid tourist and a quick buck was made by company. Disappointed that there is no follow up regarding something that was our fault but also an innocent fault on our side. We would still welcome a phone call or discussion about this

Must do!

Unbelievable experience. I drove 7+ hours round trip from Auckland for the 90 minute presentation and wished it was longer. The entire staff were welcoming, accommodating and throughly knowledgeable. The tour guides are direct descendants of the actual sacred ground of the Māori arrival to New Zealand. 10/10 A++ Thank you for sharing the history, culture & language of the original Kiwi.
