Cheapest snorkel gear hire
Highly recommend this. They also provide free floating devices to support you while swimming. The hiring crew also offer amazing advice on swimming spots etc

First Time but won't be the last!
Goat Island was amazing as it was my first time snorkeling. You can swim around Goat Island if you are confident in your swimming and go onto Goat Island itself. Lots of rocks that is hard on your feet, so take caution if you decide to take your fins off. I'd recommend for anyone traveling on the North Island as the views are beautiful.

Pleasant, but not worth the detour.
The service with the equipment was great and all in good condition. The limited dish we saw made the detour seem not worthwhile.
