Highly recommend!

My teenage daughter and I were picked up on Shotover Street and driven by a fabulous lady to Gibbston Valley Winery, after finding out that we were there to site see she went above and beyond to point out the best trail for us to take which was much appreciated. She dropped us to Gibbston Valley Winery where we were meet by the most lovely man who set us on our way with our bikes. We did not want to turn right to most of the winery’s so went left towards Arrowtown - gorgeous trail. When we arrived back an hour early for the coach back to QT and were hungry the Gibbston Valley Bike Hire guy was wonderful taking us into the winery restaurant and helping us out with food (the most amazing platter!). The two bike hire staff members were marvelous and the bikes and trail were brilliant.

100% Must Do

This was a highlight of our trip around NZ. We chose to bike around at our own pace and visit each winery as we wanted. Such an incredible experience. The scenery on the bike path is world-class, with mountains, rivers and wildlife. You are able to visit which ever winery you wish without feeling rushed because you are not part of a group. The bus simply drops you off and then takes you back at the end of the day. The van taking us to and from the area was easy to find. We chose to start at the furthest winery (Mt Rosa) and work our way back. All up, sometimes the best experiences are the simplest. Riding around this area is one we’ll never forget and can’t recommend this experience enough.

Fantastic experience

Such a great way to explore the wineries. We thoroughly recommend hiring bikes. The track is easy and there is plenty of time to stop and enjoy the scenery and also the great wine and beer of Gibbston Valley.

A must do when in Queenstown

A great experience cycling along the vineyard. Driver was very prompt at the pickup location and even gave us some information on some of the historic landmarks. Didn't get the chance to dine un at the restaurant but had some cheese in the cheese room. Very good!
