Prepare for a great time out exploring the Queenstown trails!

Once in Arrowtown, you will be fitted to your bike, given trail tips, a map and safety briefing before you are set free on your adventure!

You may choose to enjoy a pre-ride coffee or brunch and a look around the quaint village of Arrowtown before setting off to ride at your leisure along the Arrow River Bridges Trail toward Morven Ferry Intersection. From here either take a diversion to the Kawarau Bungy or follow the Twin Rivers Trail along the Kawarau and Shotover Rivers to the shores of Lake Wakatipu and onward to Queenstown Bay where you can return your bike.

This is a great day out exploring Queenstown and the Queenstown Trail. This trail is a purpose built off-road biking trail. Average biking time is 4 hours, allow longer if you go to Bungy and if you want to enjoy stops along the way.

WOW!

This was the most spectacular and amazing experience!!! Staff were fabulous and very friendly, clear and concise. If you can, GET THE E-BIKE!!! I really wanted a good workout and almost chose to get the regular mountain bike, but I am so happy I got the e-bike. You still have to pedal and the hills definitely get your legs working hard. I would recommend bringing layers and a small first aid kit. My boyfriend had an unfortunate fall, but luckily I was equipped with some gauze, wipes and bandaids.

Hi Melissa, Thanks so much for your review :) I agree, the E-Bikes are a good choice for this ride! Glad you enjoyed the ride despite your partners fall! Thanks, the Around The Basin Team

Great bikes, great price, great service

We received great service from the moment we walked in the depot door to the time we dropped the bikes off again. Our shuttle driver pointed out things of interest on the way to Arrowtown, and made sure everyone knew how to operate their bikes, where they were heading and how long it would take to get there. The bikes were well maintained, comfortable, and easy to ride.

Excellent experience

Loved this bike ride. Guides were helpful and made sure everyone was comfortable with their bikes before people set on their way. Scenery stunning. We didn't have ebikes and managed fine, just had to walk up a few short steep bits. Wear padded bike shorts or use padded bike seat if you can. Would happily ride again

Awesome day out

Awesome bike ride seeing some beautiful countryside. It took us just over 4 hours and we managed to detour to Gibbston Valley Winery. We totalled about 50km on the bike. The trail is very easy to navigate. Most of the way is easy riding with a few hills. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this trip if you’re looking to get outdoors for the day.
