Best way to experience NZ wine country

This was the perfect blend of biking and tasting, a beautiful 1 hour ride through the countryside and 7 great stops for wine and beer.

Thanks Charlie. You did well with the riding - on average our full day bike the wineries does involve a scenic ride from Arrowtown that usually takes about 1.5 hours plus a total of about another hour to ride at a relaxed pace through all the wineries. Great to hear you enjoyed the experience. The Around The Basin Team.

Great time on ebikes

Wonderful flexible pickup with people at the office after we found ourselves running late the morning-of. Great trails, lovely tour and wonderful wineries. Used the ebikes, worth the extra dosh. Couldn't have got to all the wineries without them!

Pleased we where able to accommodate you in this instance Jessica - usually our departures are prompt due to having other people on-board. The e-bike upgrade sure is a great option on our full day Bike The Wineries. Great to have you out with us.

Amazing but sucked

So the first hour was great. Got a coffee in arrowtown, met some new people, really relaxing. The start of the ride was great for about 10mins till I came in too hot on a turn and wiped out I was able to call them for a ride back but had to hobble part of the way till the driver found me and actually pulled a Hercules move and gave me piggy back ride all the way back to the van. There was no way I could have made it without his help. Ended up breaking my fibula in 2 places but that's on me for not breaking with both hands. Either way my day ended in wine!

Hi Sarah! So sorry to hear that the ankle was indeed broken! What a bugger! Steve is surprisingly strong for an old fulla huh! I'm glad he found you so you didn't have to hobble too far. I wish you the most speedy of recoveries. Kind regards, Hamish and the Team at Around The Basin.

Amazing day out

Picked up and taken to arrowtown where we were given bikes and helmets for the day. We then spent about 6 hours cycling and stopping at wineries, it was a great day! The trail is well signposted so it was easy to find each place we wanted to visit. We took the normal bikes so some of the hills were a little hard, but the promise of wine helped. Definitely recommend cargo brewery and mount Rosa winery. Thanks to Steve who drove us from town and picked us up at the end of the day too, friendly and informative.
