Milford Sound

We took coach from Queenstown as we were staying in Arrowtown, which worked well for us as it meant we could relax on the journey there and back while being entertained by our wonderful coach driver, Lewis (yes we even enjoyed his jokes!) He stopped at various places along the way so we could see the sights, although the weather on the way there wasn't particularly good. However it cleared beautifully once we arrived at Milford Sound and the cruise was enjoyed with sun and blue skies, the waterfalls being particularly superb due to the recent rain. We enjoyed a wonderful meal on board the boat (extra cost but good value). On the journey back, we had the chance to watch 2 great NZ films on the coach "Hunt for the Wilderpeople" and "The World's Fastest Indian". It's a long day but well worth it and great value.

Excellent trip

Great experience. I would highly recommend. Our coach driver was helpful, very friendly and full of knowledge - she made the drive very enjoyable. The cruise was also great - comfortable boat, friendly staff and a good selection of food and drink on board.

Great Experience

Great company, very organised and well informed. The staff were very friendly and gave informative commentary. There’s a few photo stops on the way to break up the drive and they stop so you can buy your own snacks and food rather then spend a fortune on the boat. Smooth bus ride, I normally get car sick but didn’t have any issues on the windy roads. Wifi was a bit spotty but there’s no signal after Te Anau anyway so enjoy the scenery. They put a movie on for the way back so bring headphones if you don’t want to watch. There’s USB charging ports for each seat.

Great day out!

Super happy we booked the tour with Go Orange. Our driver Lewis was great and drive was comfortable with rest stop in Te Anau and photo stops on the way - seeing the keas was a big highlight! We arrived at Milford terminal on time and set sail at 3pm. I think we were lucky with the weather as it has been raining (great for the waterfalls!) but most of the cruise was cloudy with occasional sun. The fish and chips sold out so we had fish burger and chicken n chips instead. Staff were great and lots of seating options inside. Would definitely recommend to friends!

Once in a Lifetime

Me and my husband drove to Te Anau the day before so that we can have a good rest and only catch the tour bus for a 2hrs drive. The coach arrived on time and the driver was very knowledgeable with few stops here and there. The cruise itself was amazing, food was great and the service of the staff was impeccable. It is really worth going on a tour bus rather than driving yourself to Milford Sound as you wouldn’t know history or information about the places you will pass through on your way to Milford Sound. Added bonus was a snowfall during our trip. I would highly recommend Go Orange for a trip to Milford Sound!
