milford sound tour!

The tour was awesome! It was very entertaining and infortmative! There were allt of stop overs for photo opportunities. Even though the weather was a bit rainy we still saw the beautiful views milford sound has to offer.

Good experience

Was on the bus for most of the 12hours trip. Too much travel time to and from Milford sound but the scenery's marvelous. Wish we had more time at each stop but then the trip will take even longer. Good for someone who enjoys the views though. Driver was nice and tried his best to keep us entertained and informed about history, geography, and stories along the route.

Not what you pay for

The bus ride to and from Queenstown to Milford sound was good. Bus driver was full of interesting facts and histories of the area. Felt a bit rushed at times tho but overall comfortable. When actually getting there it was quick and easy to get on and depart for tour. Tour was really short! You pay for two hours but it was barely an hour and a half!! I would not recommend buying the lunch either for $20, you get half a sandwich, and a few more snacks. I’m not sure if they cut the tour short because the boat was only half full but I was really disappointed seeing the other boats going further, and staying on water longer than ours. Especially when that’s what you highlight doing yourself in the sales pitch.

Good boat ride - bad bus ride

Positive: The boat ride was amazing. The ship was way smaller than the others, so it wasn't overcrowded. You had amazing views and got close to the waterfalls or the seals. The captain gave some very interesting information and you got free coffee, water and tea on board. Negative: The bus ride wasn't enjoyable at all. The bus was really small and you didn't have a lot of space. The guide's commentary wasn't loud enough, there was only one speaker and the ones above the seats didn't work. When we came back from the boats tour, the bus heated up because it stood in the sun for a good 2 1/2 hours. The a/c didn't work, so the last 3 hours of the bus ride where in a hot, tight bus, which was horrible.
