Enjoy a laid back and unhurried JUCY exploration of Fiordland's famous National Park and magnificent Milford Sound!
This is a full day tour that will take you on an adventure to one of New Zealand’s most stunning and naturally beautiful places; Fiordland’s Milford Sound. The tour will incorporate plenty of unique points of interest and scenic stops for photos along the way.
From Queenstown, the trip takes you south winding around the scenic shores of Lake Wakatipu fenced in by stunning mountain ranges, then briefly across scenic southern farming plains and back toward the mountains and Te Anau, where we call in for a 30min refreshment break.
Next, it's en route deeper into the Fiordland National Park where there are plenty of scenic stops for stunning photos and a couple of short nature walks before arriving in Milford Sound for what may very likely be the highlight of your holiday; a cruise through the fiord aboard the Maiden of Milford.
Our modern catamaran with three viewing decks will provide the ultimate viewing experience to take in the grandeur of the fiord with its sheer mountains, towering waterfalls and amazing wildlife.
Included is a delicious lunch provided on board the cruise. There is also a selection of yummy goodies, snacks and drinks available for purchase. Hot tea is complimentary.
The return trip allows some down time for editing photos, a cheeky snooze or simply reflecting on an awesome day out!
A short stop is made in Te Anau to grab a quick snack, before motoring on back to Queenstown.
I’ve done another Milford sound tour a couple of years ago where we have been the first ones, this time our tour has been the last one. The weather was stunning sunny! The guide (Casey I think) did a great job! He was very authentic, passionate and his commenting was well timed, informative and funny! You could tell that he definitely lives the area and his job :-) especially that made the entire tour to a great day trip and I can totally recommend it, especially if you’re not a morning person. 10 out of 10!
Got a super good deal on bookme! Ride was smooth and excellent. Everyone was punctual and cooperative so we had a couple of stops to take photos and our bus driver was kind enough to slow down at certain point of the road for us to snap some beautiful photos along the way. Take a seat on the right side of the coach to get more stunning views along the bus journey and prepare a lunch/dinner box for the day if you want to save some money. We were blessed with excellent sunny weather and the cruise was amazing! Although it was a long drive, on our way back, our bus driver played a local kiwi movie for us to watch and i really enjoyed it! I enjoyed my time fully on this tour! Thank you!
Bus driver has a very soothing golden voice, he is extremely knowledgeable and made the whole trip very amazing. The cruise is good but the vegetable pie was way too hot than expected, burned my lower lip but other than that it was a good experience overall

Awesome!!
Very long day, but well worth it! Amazing views and sights along the bus ride there and at the sound on the boat tour as well! Our bus guide Karl was very knowledgable and delivered so much information along the way! Stopped about 5 times for some amazing photo opportunities and a short walk! Absolutely loved the entire trip!
