Great experience, but was not impressed with the fact that no senior discount was disclosed on your website. The pools offer a $5 discount for seniors anyway, so this makes your special deal rather less attractive to seniors.
Travelled to Tekapo and stayed overnight enjoying an afternoon at Tekapo Springs with snow tubing and then a soak in the hot pools to ease the bumps and bruises. Great fun though and friendly staff. Went back the next morning for another couple of hours soaking in the hot pools, great division with adult only pool, and so good to see so many children enjoying the facilities. Highly recommend to any one travelling to the area as it is a family friendly complex.
I prepaid 3 adults and a child and I was really happy I was able to take advantage of the cheaper rates becuase the springs are overpriced. There are only 3 pools kids can go in (4 total). The pools themselves were very clean and the environment was great, but we were underwhelmed. I have no regrets about going though, and if it was the middle of winter I think I would be providing a different review, but it was a beautiful summers day when we went and we ended up leaving after an hour and swimming in Lake Tekapo for the rest of the afternoon. Lake Tekapo is beautiful, and I imagine in the middle of winter with snow on the mountains the outlook from the springs would be breathtaking.
