They told us they could have come to fix it if we had called them, but we figured that would take more time so decided to get back ourselves. This was apparently our fault then that we had wasted time. At first we were offered a shuttle to Arrowtown by one staff member who was lovely but then the manager came out and was extremely aggressive and refused to do anything. Told us it was our fault it wouldn’t work. During the ride, error messages were thrown up twice while cycling along at 25+km/h, clicky and poorly tuned gear changes, especially mid cassette, bike was crunching and clunking embarrassingly as soon as any real power was applied to the pedals. We are experienced cyclists (tho not with e-bikes) and rather than receiving apologies and solutions explained patiently, two out of three staff members we dealt with were rude and aggressive and told us it was our fault the bike was misbehaving. Queenstown is beautiful, but would never recommend this bike rental place in a million years, use at your own risk.
