Beautiful & tranquil
This is a gorgeous combination of a lake cruise & a leisurely trek on a unique island, full of wildlife & interesting plants with views to match. The boat skipper was very knowledgeable about the area & shared that with the travellers. The climb to the top of the island may not be suitable for all people, but everybody on our trip succeeded, including me at 70 - you just need to take it at your own pace as plenty of time is allowed. The other item I would recommend (that I forgot to take) is to take a swimming costume with you (if you like swimming) as you are allowed to swim in the tiny lake at the top of the island. Someone did that when we were there & all I could do was look on, jealously!

Great day at the lake
Nice staff, comfortable catamaran and, as a tea lover, I found it great that they serve green tea as well as English Breakfast tea :) The island is beautiful and you have enough time to explore. Not loads, but enough. All in all, it was a great day at the lake!

MOU Waho
Excellent tour. Good instructions where to meet. Comfortable boat. Great commentary. Saw many different birds including the Weka and Bellbird. It’s a bit of a steep ascent and descent and would recommend taking a hiking stick if travelling alone, luckily I had someone to hold onto. Could be slippery if recent rain. But thoroughly enjoyed it.

Spectacular
Easy, fun, relaxed and with spectacular views to make it a fantastic trip. Track was easy to walk, keep an eye out for weka as you go, amazing to see them in the wild.
