Our driver was excellent & had plenty of interesting stories & facts on the way down, and then we relaxed with a DVD for the last part of the trip back. Its a really long drive from Queenstown so enjoying the journey to Milford as well as the destination is important! The photo stops were also pretty stunning. Milford Sound itself is really beautiful & we particularly enjoyed going under the waterfalls. Would have preferred a seat on the top floor of the boat as they looked super comfy but we were too slow - ours was still quite good though as the boat was nice & modern. I took away a star as we didn't have great weather and we were excited to try the special brew, but the bar had no beer left!
