Helen Chibnall said... If you can fit this trip in while you are in Queenstown it is a must do. It is a long day but worth every minute. We went as a family of four (two teenagers who don't love long bus trips but even they loved it!). Our driver Gabe was amazing right from the start when he told us where we could park our car for the day for free. He was a skilled driver, really informative and friendly. We had plenty of stops on the way into Milford for bathroom breaks, morning tea and great photo opportunities. It snowed as we were entering the Homer Tunnel, we saw Keas, amazing waterfalls and so much more. And then the sun came out and Milford Sound was picture perfect - the third time I've been there and the first time I've seen it that good :-) The cruise around the sound was fantastic. It was calm, very serene and just stunning everywhere you looked. The picnic lunch (paperbag style) was very tasty and included plenty of variety and nice treats. Our day couldn't have been any better. Thanks Southern Discoveries!
