A-MAZING despite stormy weather
We decided to book the bus ride plus buffet with Southern Discovery and I thoroughly recommend this deal. The main reason is that we had an excellent bus driver (Greg) who not only handled the bus confidently in heavy rain and wind but gave interesting facts throughout (and plenty of jokes!). We didn't have to worry about the road and enjoyed the views around us. The buffet was delicious and especially welcomed in the stormy weather. Despite the storm, we managed to see lots of waterfalls and enjoy ourselves. It was like being in a scene from Avatar! Highly recommend.

It was awesome
The driver Pumba was great, very informative and thorough all the time… The buffet food on board was excellent… And the Milford Sound view was magical… Our family enjoyed the trip ❤️…

Spectacular experience
We loved our tour with SD! Our bus driver Keith was like an encyclopaedia, we learnt so much through out the day as well as getting to take in the beautiful scenery and lots of stops. We originally booked for a different day, and the team helped us with a last minute change which we were ever so thankful for. The cruise is truly one of a kind and a must see, especially during wetter weather or as the snow melts so you get to see the natural waterfalls. We were even lucky enough to spot two different seals! Also, the bus had a charging point and WiFi which was a hit amongst many too.

A must do !
The coach and cruise is a must do. We had Greg as the coach driver, he is amazing !! A lot of historical knowledge about the place. The scenery is beautiful. Definitely recommend the coach and cruise with buffet !! Great food options.

Beautiful! But cloudy
The travel time was excellent, the driver (Junior) is really funny and kind. The bus is really comfortable and it’s really necessary because it’s a long way. Unfortunately the weather there was really cloudy, but the place is beautiful anyway. I’ll come back there for sure but I’ll see the weather forecast first!
