Nadine Black said... I was curious about the float, having never done anything like it before - and while the float was fine, it was the massage that was the absolute highlight of the experience. I've had many different types of massages in my life: started off with the painful crippling experiences of thai and chinese massages (wondering who on earth would find that pleasant), to recently doing exclusively indian head massages and hot stone full body massages which are pure bliss, but (and I never thought there would be a "but") the massage I had at Salt Float Spa topped all of that! It was blissful but at the same time actually EFFECTIVE! It was the perfect combination of not-too-much-pressure-to-be-painful and actual tangible benefits that outlast the treatment. Just wow. Forget any other kind of massage - this is the place you want to come to. Now to mention a few points about the float: it was perfectly pleasant but I just couldn't get my neck muscles to relax while floating (yeah I know, right?) so it was not quite what I imagined it to be. But not a bad experience anyway. Just a comment in case it helps others: my hair (blond, in case that makes a difference) was extremely dry after the salt water. I washed it with the provided shampoo and conditioner but it felt like straw and I could tell that I would rip out half my head trying to comb through that. So I dried myself and walked to the changing room and got my own shampoo and conditioner and washed my hair again. It was better but still very tangled. Took me about 20 minutes to brush it out. Might be a good idea to use a hair tie before going into the float. And bring your own shampoo/conditioner into the float room with you (that's where you shower) to save yourself the trouble of having to get it later.
