Hidden gem tour

I was surprised how little information / review this tour got on TripAdvisor given the unmatched memories we gained from experiencing it. This is absolutely a must do in Roturoa! We went for the private charter and we could have not been any happier. Not only did we feel extra special but we were able to enjoy every bit of the tour at our own pace. The extra hospital and informative tour guide made it so tailored, detailed but not in a boring way, and homey! It was as if we were just chatting like mates. Anyway, the experience itself is next to none. Be warned though that it is not a glamorous trip. You will get yourself very wet, very cold, very dirty, and will crawl into caves. And that was the magic of it all. Nothing short of surprises! The cave was raw and untouched with glow worms! My 7 year old boy survived it but it is without risk and danger. But again, the fun and the experience outweighs them all. I should say don't do it if you aren't keen to try some thing out of your comfort zone as you will require some struggling. But again, it is very worth it. So different from the other tours that when compared to this, make them all lame.

Enjoyable

We enjoyed our boat cruise very much the captain of the boat was very friendly and helpful. My one concern is to get the leaks on the roof of the boat fixed up.It would make the cruise in the pouring rain much better. We would love to go on again later on.

Would of been 5 stars

Excellent guide who was so informative, loved meeting other people on this cruise too. I checked the weather so knew it was going to rain, but saw the photo of the boat which was covered so thought the rain wont be a problem and took a couple of light jackets as well. The rain seeped through the roof and we all ended up drenched and cold, that was the biggest dissapointment. I would totally reccommend this cruise but check the weather and only book if the weather is good or if you dont mind being wet and cold for 3 hours. The food was bbq and green salad and a beautiful fruit salad, although it wasnt huge it was a nice light snack, dont expect to get full on it. I would totally take the rest of my family on this cruise but only when the weather is good.
