Walk high amongst the majestic redwoods trees. Feel the spirit of Rotorua’s iconic Redwood Forest from above and up close to these 120-year-old gentle giants.

This suspended ecological walk provides a unique bird’s eye perspective of the forest, capturing its picturesque beauty and ambience. From 700 metres long, the one of a kind New Zealand treewalk consists of a series of 27 suspension bridges which traverse between 28 majestic 120-year-old Redwood Trees. From 9 metres to 20 metres above the forest at its peak, the walkway has been specifically designed and constructed to preserve the trees, plants and the surrounding natural environment.

The walkway has been uniquely constructed using a New Zealand-first technologically designed sling, which is suspended from the redwood trees. This ecological walk is perfect as a wet weather activity with the stunning colours of the forest coming to life in the rain.

Enjoy at your own pace with no safety harness or training required and appreciate the peacefulness and spirit of this special forest. Leave feeling inspired, refreshed and rejuvenated!..

What's included

  • General Admission ticket includes single entry to the Treewalk (day) experience.
  • All visitors must be able to walk the 700 meters of suspended bridges unaided.

Restrictions

  • All visitors must be able to walk unaided for the entire 700 metre length of the Treewalk.

  • If your experience is cancelled by the operator (because of the weather or anything else out of your control) you will be entitled to a full refund.

Notes

  • Please note:

    Your ticket is for General Admission and time allocations are indicative only as we may have a queue to access the Treewalk. Your ticket provides no priority to jump the queue.

    Under 5 years are free of charge - infants and children cannot be carried in child carriers, on shoulders or in arms at any time on the Treewalk. We have complimentary strollers available for use onsite.

Wer Bäume liebt darf dieses Erlebnis nicht vermissen. Es ist beeindruckend, zwischen diesen Baumriesen in luftiger Höhe zu wandeln und dabei nach oben und unten deren Größe zu bewundern. Schön angelegt, nettes Besucherzentrum.

Redwood Walk Nightlights Experience

Der Walk war wirklich super schön und einzigartig. Meine Freundin und ich buchten den Walk um 22 Uhr abends und das würde ich auch auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Der Wald ist bei Nacht einfach so klar und ruhig und die Lichter sind einfach nur wunderschön. Und das Überqueren der Brücken ist manchmal eine sehr wackelige aber lustige Angelegenheit.
