First time being here, I had to leave a tip
I ordered the garlic pita with hummas dip to start with and now I've in into craving mode. Next I had the Seafood soup which was on point. For my main I ordered eye fillet and my first thought why put something fruity with the dish then I clicked, to enhance the flavours of the eyefillet, kinda like food and wine matching. The service was really lovely aswell so I left a tip for both foh staff for a job well done π I work in Hospitality myself as a foh employee so I know how it is π

Great food
This is my second visit and I was impressed by both the service and the food. I had the steak and my husband the pork both were delicious. For dessert we had the tart and the chocolate marquise which was more like a mousse than a marquise but still lovely.

Promising menu disappointing delivery
The staff were pleasant and the restaurant was peaceful. The menu is beautifully written build8ng expectations. The food quality was well below average. Preparation and plating very basic, not something you would expect from a hotel restaurant. The meat quality was very poor, it clearly wasn't fresh and tasted bad. Decided not even trying desserts since entry and mains were so bad.

Disappointed
Paid extra for a discount online then got told after driving along way to get there that they hadn't received our booking and that we should have rung to book..why have it online if you don't check it..waste of time and money got no refund for the discount coupon we had paid for..my advice don't bother there's plenty of other great eating spots in rotorua
