Authentic experience

This is a REAL Maori village with real people, unlike the side shows with money people running them. Really enjoyed the tour by Chief, and the friendliness of the people.

Maori Experience

A really good visit to an authentic Maori village. You will see boiling mud pools, Pohutu geyser, boiling pools and cooking cabinets. A guide will talk you through all village history and there is a Maori cultural performance to end your tour. An excellent visit.

Whaka Village Visit

Very friendly staff, excellent guide on walking tour - Mera. So interesting how all the geothermal activity is used in daily living. Thoroughly enjoyed cultural dance and song show. Scored amazed pictures with them as well. Don’t forget to try a Hangi pie, or corn - so delicious. Great value, highly recommend.
