Excellent trip...Jack a truly amazing guide ....Very informative about the area,the history on the water and the prayers in maori..Would definitely do it again...Thank-you so much Jack and the rest of the team (and for coming into your day off)😊

From the very first phone call, this experience was outstanding. Huge thanks to the lovely wahine who helped us change our tour day at the last minute. The guides set the tone straight away, hyping us up on the bus and making everyone feel excited and safe. Special shoutout to Gilly, our river guide. The respect shown for the river through karakia, mixed with humour and storytelling, made it truly special. My son, husband, and I shared an experience of a lifetime. Thank you for making our Christmas 2025 unforgettable.

Best thing to do in rotorua
Best. Day. Ever. Rafting Rotorua | Kaituna White Water Rafting with Kaitiaki Adventures was hands down the best experience I had in Rotorua. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by genuinely friendly staff at sign-in, which instantly put me at ease. Before we even hit the water, everything was explained clearly and thoroughly. As someone who isn’t a confident swimmer, I really appreciated how reassuring the briefing was. I felt looked after the whole way through. Huge shout out to our guide, Caruzo. Absolute legend. He kept things fun, calm, and super well-managed, and made sure everyone got the best possible experience on the river. The rafting itself was an adrenaline rush in the best way, and I felt safe the entire time. What made it even more special was learning about the Māori history of the awa. And having the river blessed with a karakia before we set off was such a powerful moment. As a visitor, it made me feel welcomed, grounded, and genuinely safe. If you’re in Rotorua, this is a must-do. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Great time
We could have kept going if we hadn't run out of river to raft. We had a great group.

Nice short rafting experience
It was a cool experience and the rafting lasts around 45 minutes only. Does not require much effort and we only rowed for some very short periods as you constantly have to stop and wait for other rafts.
