We love going there it's cheaper than ac bath and so much more options and the bathrooms is better

A Fantastic Family Day at Taupō DeBretts Waterpark
We visited the waterpark at Taupō DeBretts Hot Springs over the weekend and had an absolutely amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredible. I had my elderly mum with me, and they went above and beyond to help make our visit comfortable and stress-free. They kindly allowed us to bring our vehicle right down to reception, which made things so much easier for Mum. When it was time to leave, they also provided a wheelchair to help get her back up to the car. Their kindness and willingness to assist really stood out and made us feel so well looked after. The facilities themselves were fantastic. Everything was clean, tidy, and very well maintained, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the day. The mineral pools were beautiful and incredibly relaxing — the perfect place to unwind. My daughter absolutely loved the kids’ waterpark. She had so much fun exploring the slides and water features and didn’t want to leave. It was wonderful to see her enjoying herself so much while we could also take some time to relax in the pools. Overall, it was a fantastic day out for our whole family. The combination of friendly, helpful staff, clean and well-kept facilities, and great pools made it a truly memorable experience. Thank you to the team for such a wonderful day. We’ll definitely be back again!

The worst hot spring
water is so dirty. It can't be describe just dirt. After we have been there, my son got eye infection. My daughter got bad skin trouble, Atopy. I got lots of pimple on my face. Literally, it was worst.

Hi Kelly. We are sorry that you felt this way. Our pools are actually drained, cleaned, and refilled every night, so this should never be an issue.

LOVE THE PLACE!
My family visited when I was a kid – 1960? Maybe – I visit again as a teenager in 1972. I’ve come back every 10 years or so to visit Taupo, and my favourite holiday spot is still De Brett’s. Sparkling from a recent upgrade, great customer service and blissful hot water. Still SO GOOD at 72. (Didn’t try the new water slide though :-( Next time!)
