Highlights

  • 2 Day kayaking adventure
  • Cruise across the stunning Lake Manapouri
  • Experienced and knowledgeable guides

Begin your epic adventure with a cruise across stunning Lake Manapouri followed by a comfortable coach journey across the Southern Alps via the Wilmot Pass. The views are to die for even before you hit the water!

Your itinerary is flexible and route dictated by the weather and your desire to explore. With around 5 hours of kayaking each day, you’ll get to truly appreciate the expanse and primordial beauty of the fiord.

Our experienced and knowledgeable guides will make sure you see the best of Fiordland. As you explore this wilderness, its hidden waterways and secluded islands, look out for the locals – seals, dolphins and penguins.

If you’re lucky, you might even find yourself paddling in the company of dolphins! In the evening you’ll camp amidst the forest next to a freshwater stream in Hall Arm. Relax along the shore as the long southern twilight descends in the fiord.

Bring your own food – we’ll supply hot drinks and swap stories with your fellow travelers. And as night descends, lie on the beach and spend some time star gazing. The next morning, you’ll explore more of the fiord before heading back under sail (weather permitting) by early afternoon.

Good Experience

This overnight trip was a good experience but the weather was totaly awful so we spent the night at the hostel instead of the campsite. It was still alright because we play games and the atmosphere was good. But a little regret : our guide, Mop, didn't teach us a lot about the fiord.. Could be better at this point..

Amazing experience

An amazing experience to see the Sound from this perspective, you feel much more a part of it than from on the deck of a boat. A special thanks to our amazing guide Charlotte, she really made the trip with her constant knowledge, chat and humour. Would highly recommend for those who are up for mucking in, camping in the wilderness and paddling for your supper!

Perfecte trip! Super begeleiding

Absolutely worth every penny! Super guidance, Shanna knew loads about the Fiordlands and was mega chilled and helpful. Definitely do the overnighter for the most comprehensive kayak experience. 2 tips: inform overnight guests where to park their vehicle up front in order to avoid stress, and advise people to bring high ankle covering surf booties, or the sandflies will get you :). Most Incredible experience i have ever explored

So many words to describe this day, (day 1) suns out clear skies, flat waters, beautiful surroundings of atmosphere. stopped on this island for lunch and had a coffee. the scenery really makes you appreciate nature so much more. tents up and attacked by sand-flies I gave up on the pegs for the cover. I had such a beautiful sleep. Day 2, weather over turned and it hammered down with rain. but going back to base it didn't bother me. the mountains were so much greener, the skies were so grey even had thunder and lightening it was breath taking. the rain just poured down like never before. the waterfalls surrounding the mountains. I really enjoyed my time here. one ill never forget. waves over waves crashing into the kayaks. Takes you to another world and you feel so alive by pure nature and tranquillity. truly thankful for every second of this two day adventure.
