What an incredible trip. Amazing scenery, wildlife and a great driver, Brian. Very easy to book through bookme and confirmation came from Real Journeys very quickly. From start to finish everything ran very smoothly. I understand it’s tough for operators at the moment, but what an incredible opportunity for New Zealanders to get out and see NZ without the hoards of tourists. We went pretty much the whole journey with very little traffic and had the Milford Sound cruise limited to a couple of boats. Us and one other. Saw Kea on the way in and on the Sound there were dolphins and seals. The weather was great - misty clouds adding to the atmosphere And the water calm. Lots of waterfalls after all the rain the previous week. Just breath taking. You must do this trip if you can.

Best experience, you HAVE to do this trip!

Our trip to Milford Sounds was incredible. Its a long day but so very worth it! Our bus was great, of a really good quality and very clean. I loved that the chairs we tilted slightly towards windows there were windows in the roof overhead so you could look up as we drove through the mountains and deep gorges. Our driver well she was fantastic, so full of knowledge about the local areas we passed, the plants and wildlife & NZ in general. We wouldnt have had any idea of the local information and places to stop for photos, if we had driven ourselves to Milford Sound. Milford Sounds itself is an absolute wonder, words actually cannot describe you just have to see for yourself. Highly recommend this bus trip with Real Journeys.

A must-do when visiting Queenstown!

This was truly a one-of-a-kind experience - probably owing to the fact that there were only 5 people on the bus the day I went, and the only one going from Queenstown. The weather was perfect, and the scenery was like nothing else in New Zealand. The coach driver was great and provided a more personalised experience (esp. because of the # of people). She stopped in many different places along the way so we could take photos, and I was so grateful that she stopped on the side of the road when we saw kia around - big highlight of the trip (good ol' A6!). The cruise was alright, but there were too many people on the boat that it was hard to get good pictures. However I did get a video of the dolphins that came to say hi briefly. The surroundings were beautiful and it was nice to be able to go inside sometimes since it was freezing! They only provided complementary tea and coffee, nothing else. And as a non-tea/coffee drinker this was a bit disappointing. I would prefer if hot chocolate was an option (and probably so do the kids that are there). The food was incredibly expensive - I recommend taking your own lunch.
