This guided day tour takes you to World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park, the largest and possibly most diverse biological National Park in Australia. You will experience contrasting landscapes, incredibly diverse wildlife and rich Aboriginal culture that dates back as far as 50,000 years!

Itinerary:

  • Day begins with a convenient central Darwin accomodation pickup at 6:30am.
  • Travel towards Kakadu National Park along the Arnhem Highway, a beautiful drive with breathtaking backdrops.
  • Visit the Warradjan Cultural Centre where you will be introduced to the way of life of the Bininj people, traditional owners of the land.
  • Take a cruise on Yellow Water Billabong with your local guide, home to thousands of saltwater crocodiles and up to 60 species of colourful birdlife, including sea eagles, brolgas and tiny brilliantly-hued kingfishers
  • Stop to enjoy lunch at Cooinda
  • Travel to the Nourlangie rock art site and take a walk with your Driver Guide around its base to see many different forms of Aboriginal rock art then return to Darwin for am approx 7:30pm return
