If you love nature but enjoy a little excitement too, come and discover the lush wilderness of the West Coast’s rainforest on Tasmania’s only regular one day rafting trip! This epic journey combines exhilarating rapids and exciting rafting with the local wildlife, beautiful sites and serene river reaches making for a great all-round experience.

Our friendly, experienced guides will ensure you are well equipped and briefed before you begin the 6-hour rafting journey at Newall Creek.

Feel your adrenaline rush as you navigate the swift flowing areas of the gorge and traverse the Sailor Jack rapid – enough excitement to keep you on your toes!

As we paddle along the gentle flowing parts of the river, you’ll see the ancient rainforest up close, including rare Huon Pine and King Billy Pine trees.

We’ll visit local historic sites including the town of Teepookana and the Old Cascades Hotel, and you can soak up the beautiful unspoiled environment when we reach Garfield River platypus pool.

Snap some great photos with your waterproof camera at Water Fall Gully, and spot the Abt Railway and local wildlife – you may even see a platypus!

The generous and delicious lunch and snacks will top off your experience, and you’ll be grinning from ear to ear on completion of this amazing day trip.

King River Rafting full day tour

Great trip down the King River. Plenty of excitement during the first section through the gorge, and beautiful scenery all the way downriver. Ollie and George were great, lunch was filling and delicious, and the whole experience was super relaxed.
