  • Amazing face-to-face encounter with Tasmanian devils
  • Meet the incredible bird life in the Birds of the Bush encounter
  • Explore this unconventional conservation park at your own pace
  • Hand-feed cute kangaroos, wallabies & pademelons

Unzoo is a new style of wildlife experience where you can come face-to-face with the famous Tasmanian devils and wild creatures found nowhere else on earth, discover rare and beautiful Tasmanian plants in a Tasmanian Native Botanic Garden, see Tasmanian artworks in rustic bush galleries and help save endangered Tasmanian devils on our Devil Tracker Adventure.

Tasmanian Devil Unzoo is the world’s first intentional Unzoo—a revolutionary project to create a cageless wildlife and nature experience. Over 10 years the Hamilton family worked tirelessly to turn their traditional Australian wildlife park into an amazingly immersive experience.

Hundreds of trees have been planted and bushland reserves created to provide natural habitats for local wild parrots, pademelons and honeyeaters, boundary fences have been removed to welcome the local wild animals. You can hand feed adorable forester kangaroos, meet endemic quolls and noisy wattlebirds and chat with the cheeky little parrots in our Birds of the Bush encounter. The friendly guides lead 15 interesting wildlife presentations each day with Tasmanian devil feedings every hour or so.

The Unzoo will challenge you to think about the natural world, and your place in it, in a completely new way. Your pre-booked ticket guarantees entry. Best of all you will be helping our mission to save the critically endangered Tasmanian devil, this is a purchase you can feel great about, as your entrance fees fund this effort.

EXCELLENT

What a great way to spend time interacting with nature and what it has to offer. The presentation by the guides was excellent and I would recommend this tour to everyone who enjoys being around animals that are very well cared for.

Great place!

We have so much love for this place. Our advice? Get here early whilst the kangaroos and devils are hungry and you can really get involved. Don’t miss the rescued parrots and the interesting talks by the keepers. The idea of an unzoo is great, come and find out about it.
