The whole day was brilliant. So much to see and learn on our first trip to Central Australia . Great value. We booked a week before arriving in Alice Springs and were surprised to find room on the tour.It is a full day and so worth it.
The day didn't start out great with having to wait over 20minutes in the cold (About 5°). Then the bus was almost full, only single seats left and no one would move to allow my husband and I to sit together. The tour itself was ok. The guide was a little difficult to understand at times with her accent. Lunch was very disappointing, cold meat, some cheese and a little salad, not great for s vegetarian (no other options even though I told them of dietary requirements). Overall for us a couple in their early 40's, this tour was a little slow and definitely geared towards the older customer.
My trip was booked with Emu Run but diverted to AAKings as not enough takers. The trip was fine, good driver over horrendous roads. Two walks, not too difficult. The major letdown, and it was a big one, was that while Emu Run was prepared, and did, pick me up at my door, Kings needed me to get to a motel about 2k away at 6.30am. Unfortunately I was also dropped at this motel on return in spite of my asking the driver to take me on a further 2k. I am 82 and had been up for 12 hours and another walk so far was not acceptable. The driver insisted he would lose his job if he took me further.Whether this is company policy or the decision of the individual driver I do not know but in any event was very unimpressed and would not recommend AAKings

Fantastic day out.
I got the tickets for cheap as they were having a discount. So for the price it was super worth it! Meals are provided and adequate. The tour guide was really funny and informative. He was definitely knowledgeable and could answer your questions from the history of Alice Springs, to the dreaming stories of the ranges. The locations visited were really beautiful. There were 3 waterholes that you can swim in but the water is very cold and deep! There were people doing jumps from some of the lower cliffs and it looked so fun! It was super refreshing especially after the walks in the sun. The hikes are pretty easy and short, definitely manageable for children or elderly. Met some great people as well on the trip. Shout out to Matt from Scotland!! (My parallel universe scotland living me XD) It was really nice meeting you and all the best back home and your future travels. :)
