Sundowner operates from Coral Sea Marina North, Airlie Beach, where the Whitsunday islands provide the perfect backdrop for our sunset cruise.
Sundowner is a fully covered, purpose-built catamaran designed for socialising. Unlike a yacht, we have a flat surface and no trip hazards. There is ample room to move, and high heels are welcome.
Our Airlie Beach sunset cruise departs Tuesday to Sunday evenings and circumnavigates Pioneer Bay. As we have very little draft we are able to get up close and personal to many points of interest along the Whitsunday coastline.
Includes a glass of sparkling or soft drink on arrival, and a shared plate of simple nibbles. We highly recommend booking dinner after the cruise at one of the nearby restaurants.
Iconic Whitsunday Adventures provides fantastic service in a friendly social atmosphere so you can truly unwind and bask in a fantastic Whitsunday sunset whilst enjoying your favourite tipple from our fully licensed bar.
Once the sun sets, enjoy the lights of Airlie Beach from the water before we make our way back to port.
Meeting time is 15 minutes prior to departure at the North Village roundabout, 'Meeting Point B', at Coral Sea Marina.

Sunset cruise Airlie Beach
Cruise was fine, unfortunately it rained, so no sunset (end of June) the boat was covered so didn’t get wet, still enjoyable, you get a drink of sparkling wine, which was fine. No wind so it was a very comfortable trip. I attached some photos from the next day around at the Marina at sunset

Limited seats and foos
Not enough seats and food for everyone on board. Other than that it was good.

Thanks for your feedback. We provide only a small nibbles platter, which you can see in our pictures. Since we cruise before dinner time, it's really just a little something to tide you over until dinner. Our crew to try to ensure everyone gets some, and that no one group takes too much. We have a variety of seating, with low cushioned bench seats, and bar stools. There is also ample floor area to walk around, enjoy the view from all sides, and dance! We find most of our guests want to do just this, and nobody is stuck on a seat for 2 hours, everybody gets up and moves. There is certainly no assigned seating, and everybody should be able to find a seat if and when they want one.

Sunset cruise
Cruise was great. But we missed out on nibbles for our group as the large table took them all. Very unhappy. Not many seats for the amount of people that were on the boat.

Extremely pleasant trip around the bay, with a great crew and terrific passengers. Has a nice party vibe.
