Lift young dreams above the clouds with Airpoints™ for Schools

Your donations help to broaden horizons for Kiwi kids.

The Airpoints™ for Schools programme supports New Zealand school communities by giving Kiwi kids an opportunity to take flight for educational travel experiences. Airpoints Dollar™ donations from Airpoints members, matched by Air New Zealand, help schools with their flight costs, giving aspiring young leaders the opportunity to gain knowledge and inspiration to reach their potential.

Schools in this year's programme were selected for outstanding environmental, cultural, social or academic objectives - learn about their amazing projects and goals below. Thanks to support from Airpoints members, all schools have reached their donation targets and will be off on their journeys soon. Stay tuned and follow their stories below.

He Matariki Teen Parent School

Seven Whangarei students flew to Wellington, most flying for the first time, for an unforgettable learning experience. The students are busy young mothers balancing schooling with the demands of parenting responsibilities, so the trip provided an opportunity outside the busyness of everyday life to focus on team building, goal setting, and developing their relationships and confidence.

The young pupils rode the Cable Car, visited the Beehive and New Zealand Parliament buildings, and enjoyed seeing historic buildings and sculptures throughout the Capital city. Students were also impressed by the Weta Cave Workshop tour and learnt about World War II at Te Papa Museum's Gallipoli: Scale of our War exhibition. The trip engaged students in learning outside the classroom and has motivated them to fulfil their future aspirations.
